Edward Clifton Till

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of Saturday, January 14, 2012, Edward Clifton Till, Jr., widower of Mary Evans Till, of Johns Island, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Officer Edward C. Till, Jr. are invited to attend his Graveside Funeral Service in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Monday January 16, 2012 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel (3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy), Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm and at 2769 Evans Way, Johns Island, SC.

Jackie was born on June 9, 1939 in Florence, SC, the son of Edward Clifton Till, Sr. and Flonnie Macky Till. He was a graduate of McClenaghan High School in Florence, SC and was a Naval veteran serving as a Corpsman. Till joined the SC Highway Patrol in 1961 and retired in 1990 as a Sergeant. He was a member of the SC Troopers Association and a Life Member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his daughter, Jacquelyne T. Fipps and her husband, Joseph of Johns Island, SC; three grandchildren, Heather Parham Hiott and her husband, Stephen of Round O, SC, Nicole Fipps and Mason Fipps, both of Johns Island, SC and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
