Edward Moore Geiger

Edward Moore Geiger, Sr., 94, of Folly Beach, South Carolina, husband of Vermelle Mitchum Geiger entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 28, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Chapel Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Edward was born October 6, 1920 in Whiteville, North Carolina, son of the late Aubra Geiger and Grace Moore Geiger. He was a veteran serving with the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He retired as a Rigger with the Charleston Naval Shipyard.

He is survived by his wife, Vermelle Mitchum Geiger of Folly Beach, SC, three sons, Edward M. Geiger, Jr., (Sharon) of Folly Beach, SC, Wayne Geiger (Janice) of Summerville, SC, and Bruce Geiger (Donna) of Charleston, SC; brother, Robert Geiger of Vero Beach, FL, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
