Edward John Farley, 88, of Carolina Shores, North Carolina, formerly of Kinnelon, NJ, husband of Grayce Legrottaglie Farley died Thursday, July 14, 2016. His Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, July 25, 2016 in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island at 11:00 a.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. Edward was born March 25, 1928 in Paterson, New Jersey, son of the late Edward Farley and Rena Belli Farley. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and was a United States Navy Veteran. During his long tenure as an Aeronautical Engineer with Marotta Scientific Controls, he worked on several NASA projects and served as a leading engineer for the Apollo Space mission. He was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Shalotte, NC.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Grayce; son, Dr. Keith Farley of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother, John Farley of Butler, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
