Edward Walter Bursiel

Edward Walter Bursiel, 63, husband of Susan "Sue" Elizabeth Kenney Bursiel, of Kerrville, TX passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Bursiel are invited to attend his memorial service Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL 12:00 pm. Burial is private. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm prior to service.

Ed was born March 19, 1948 in Saugus, MA, son of the late Walter Edwin Bursiel and Phyllis Beyea Bursiel. He retired as a Captain with the North Charleston District Fire Department. Ed was a member of the VFW on James Island Camp Road and the American Legion in Greenville New Hampshire. Ed and Sue spent 11 years of traveling in their motor home throughout the lower 48 states and they were volunteers for various state, county and private RV parks, including James Island County Park.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Susan "Sue" Elizabeth Kenney Bursiel; brother-in-law, Larry Kenney of San Francisco, CA; sister-in-laws, Ellen Caron of Jaffrey, NH, Pat Tyler of Las Vegas, NM and Smokey his beloved cat.

Because of Ed's love for animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local SPCA in your area.
