Edward Griffin Bryan, Jr., 79, of Charleston, husband of Peggy Bryan entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 4, 2020. There will be a private graveside service on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens in the military section. A private visitation will be on Friday, August 7, 2020 at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, Charleston.

Mr. Bryan was born on October 16, 1940 in Colleton County, SC and was the son of the late Edward Bryan Sr. and late Ruby Risher Bryan Dees. Mr. Bryan was a graduate of the Camden Military Academy. He served in the U.S. Airforce at Bentwaters Air base in England where he was a fireman.

Mr. Bryan was a non destructive testing expert and retired from several large international companies allowing him to literally travel the world, in particular, Indonesia, Turkey, Europe and Canada.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Bryan is survived by his two children, Cindy Bryan of Charleston and Edward Bryan III of James Island; three stepdaughters, Brandy Wiktorowski (John)of Chesapeake, VA, Michele Mizell of Summerville, Nancy Sethman (Robert) of Ladson; several grandchildren; two sisters, Lynn Griffin, of Mt Pleasant, Texas and Rhynn McMinn of Pittsburg, Texas; as well as several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather.
