Edward Pink Bluemel

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of April 6, 2012, CPO Edward Pink Bluemel, USN, (Ret.) husband of Enola Davis Bluemel of Johns Island, SC. The relatives and friends of Chief and Mrs. Edward Pink Bluemel are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. Burial services will be conducted at sea with full Naval Honors. Friends may call at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Thursday between Noon and 1:00 p.m.

Chief Bluemel was born August 26, 1946 in Lumberton, NC, the son of Ernest Bluemel and Miriam Page Bluemel King. He was a retired CPO with the US Navy who served aboard submarines for 24 years. He was a member of the Magnolia Garden Club.

He is survived by his wife of Johns Island; 2 sons, Christopher P. Bluemel (Mary Jane) and Robert Cohen, both of Charleston; 1 granddaughter, Amanda Cohen of Tampa, FL; and mother and step-father, Miriam and Lee King of Oviedo, FL.
