Edna Scott Steely

Edna Scott Steely, 79, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Kenneth L. Steely, entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Portsmouth, VA.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 6, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Mrs. Steely was born December 1, 1933 in Summerville, SC, one of eight children to Henry Scott and Martha Rhodes Scott. She was a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene, Goose Creek, SC.

She is survived by her sons; Paul D. Steely and his wife, Deborah, of North Charleston, Kenneth L. Steely Jr. and his wife, Susan, of West Palm Beach, FL and Michael A. Steely of James Island; her daughter, Starr Kittrell and her husband, Tom, of Portsmouth, VA; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James F. Steely.
