Edna Patricia Holt Scherr, 82, wife of Marvin Sidney Scherr of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012. The relatives and friends of Edna Scherr are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the graveside on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Mrs. Scherr was born on June 3, 1929 in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of the late Robert William Holt and Edna Earl Atkinson Holt. She was a singer and entertainer and was know as "Sugar Holt" and she was a former member of the musician's union.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Marvin S. Scherr of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Bobbie G. Storm of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, Robyn Nadel of Atlanta, GA, Gregory Dewitt of Memphis, TN, and John Boido of W. Virginia; three great grandchildren, Olivia Dewitt, Alexis Dewitt and John Boido, III.
