Edna Louise Picquet Felder, 92, of Johns Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 20, 2026. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road.
Edna was born December 27, 1933 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Benjamin McNear Picquet and Mary Ellison DuBose Picquet. She was a graduate of Murray Vocational School Class of 1953. She retired from C&S after 20 years and was a founding member of Stono Baptist Church, Johns Island. Edna was known as a dedicated mother and a devoted Christian woman, who started every day reading her Bible. She enjoyed playing solitaire, working puzzles, and cooking and baking for her family. At the age of 90, she and a group of dear friends continued to drive to Sit-n-Fit twice a week at the senior center.
Edna is survived by two sons, Thomas Wesley Felder, Jr. of Fernandina Beach, FL, Charles Lamar Felder (Tamala) of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Gail F. Dahlman of Summerville, SC, and Terri W. Glinski (Jim) of Johns Island, SC; sister, Virginia Dubose Picquet Hodges of James Island, SC and brother-in-law, John William Felder (Helen) of James Island, SC; and seven grandchildren, George Frederick Schwuchow, Jr., Rhianna Felder Murray (Scott), Thomas Wesley Felder, III, Kat Pryor (Matt), Karyn Demory, Lyndsey Walker Altine (Roddy), Christopher Thomas Felder; and seven great-grandchildren. She was a proud godmother of Daniel Myers of Johns Island and claimed a nephew, Frank Lowder of James Island, as another son. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved their “Aunt Edna”.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas Wesley Felder, Sr.; her eldest son, Robert Lee Felder; a son-in-law, David William “Billy” Walker; two daughters-in-law, Caroline “Sissy” Felder, and Kathryn “Kathy” Felder. In addition, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Edward Picquet; and brothers DeVeaux Picquet, Lamar Picquet, Benjamin Picquet, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Green, Frances Bledsoe, Belle Pelham.
