Edmund "Eddie" James Mitchum, 53, of Charleston, SC, husband of Debra Flanagan Mitchum, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 7, 2014. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 12:00 noon. Interment, Hopewell Baptist Churchyard, Huger, SC. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Eddie was born May 13, 1960 in Charleston, SC, son of the late James Mitchum and the late Edna Wirth Mitchum. He was a construction superintendent for Charles Blanchard Construction Corporation.
He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; daughter, Jacquelin Mitchum of Charleston; sister, Cheryl Davis(O'Neil) of Huger; brother, Bubba Mitchum of Huger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of SC, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
