Edith S. Reeves

Edith S. Reeves, 67, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of R. Darrell Reeves, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Her Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, February 11, 2023 in the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 1150 East Montague Avenue, North Charleston.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, in the Fellowship Hall. Inurnment will be private.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Edith was born November 24, 1955 in Montclair Township, New Jersey, daughter of the late James Taylor Shotwell and Jewell Smith Shotwell.  She worked as the Church Administrator at St. Thomas Episcopal Church for nearly 30 years.  She was a woman of faith, loved her Lord and absolutely loved her church family.   Edith was an avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and was all about her family.  She looked forward to spending time with them in any way, but especially loved cooking and having them over for dinner.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Darrell; two sons; Rey Reeves and his wife, Kandace and Matthew Reeves; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Luke Reeves; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings; Jim Shotwell, Ann Connolly and Jewell Lane.
