Edith Lewis Myers, 76, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Eugene John Myers, and wife of Rudolph Freeland Mercer, died Saturday, November 28, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015, in the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of the service. Edith was born December 23, 1938 in Shulerville, SC, daughter of the late Lloyd Lewis and Pauline Ackerman Lewis. She was a retired service representative with Southern Bell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant for over 50 years, and worked as a church kindergarten teacher.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cheryl J. Allran and her husband Scott of York, SC; her grandson, Justin S. Allran of Miami, FL; her granddaughter, Jaine Elizabeth Allran of Clemson, SC; and her sisters, Lorine Gaskins, Mary Blakeley, and Edwardine Morris, all of Shulerville, SC. She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene J. Myers, Jr.
