Edith Lee Motz Farrell, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Terrence Edmund Farrell entered into eternal rest Monday, April 22, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 26, 2024, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Edith was born March 2, 1933 in Lincolnton, North Carolina, daughter of the late Verge Motz and the late Junie Keever Motz. After graduating from Roper Hospital nursing school with honors, Edith worked for Roper for 26 years, retiring in 1989. An active member of First Baptist Church, she was involved with missions, helping to prepare food and organize the clothing closet. Edith was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables and enjoyed her fish pond. She will be remembered for the way she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Terry Farrell; children, George Wilson, Jr., Paul Wilson, Scott Wilson (Mary), Nancy Wilson, JenniferAnne Meadows and Katrina Perdue (Allan);14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nellieruth McMurray, Willamae Price, V.C. Motz and Nadine Gates.
