Ravishing and romantic.
Red curls framing,
A porcelain Face was in the making.
Carolina memories streaming…
The life of a Hickory girl dreaming.
Funny and fiery….
Whispers of darling…
Southern charm comes with some farming.
Picking cotton in the heat
Laughing & loving with her 4 sisters,
Always looking out for gentleman misters.
Too young for Nurse Cadet, so
Business school is where she went.
Charmed Waitressing at Hotel Hickory.
One thing you can bet…
Edith Spiced up Manahatan Shirt …
But she was not all set.
Too young for her pension when the factory closed,
Edith set out her horizons & it flowed.
Avon was her joy - Selling make up & connecting.
Active in her Church,
Praising the Lord & helping those in need.
She delivered Meals on Wheels indeed.
A strong mother, a hard worker, a supportive sister, a loving wife
She never missed a family birthday in her a life.
Edith will be missed.
Remembered as
A touch of Cotollion & a slice of sass.
Fragrant sweetness of her favorite flowers Gardenia & Jasmine with class.
Remember her warm embrace & cheek kiss.
Good night darlin', you will be missed.
