Edgar Ellis Brunson, Jr.

Edgar Ellis Brunson, Jr., 81, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Linda Gruber Brunson entered eternal rest Saturday, February 3, 2024. His graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00AM. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Ellis was born January 13, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Edgar Ellis Brunson, Sr. and the late Louise Walters Brunson. He retired from UA Local 421 Plumbers & Pipefitters and was a member of Masonic Lodge Mariner #2. As a lifetime member of the Omar Shrine Temple, Ellis served on the Director's Staff and was part of the Road Runners unit transporting children to the Shriners Hospital. He was known to tinker around the garage, especially with his '57 Chevy.

He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Brunson of Summerville, SC, daughter, Lori Powers (Tony) of Summerville, SC, son, Edgar Ellis Brunson III (Renee) of North Charleston, SC, two grandchildren, Thomas Ayre (Emily), and Kelsey Slaton (Steven), two great grandchildren, Hunter Still and Memphis Slaton. His sister Elizabeth Roberts preceded him in death.
