Eben Roger Rumph

Eben Roger Rumph, 85, of Johns Island, South Carolina, beloved husband of Patricia Elizabeth Rieber Rumph, his wife of 65 years, entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 18, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at the Rumph Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. 

Eben was born April 23, 1938 in Dorchester County, South Carolina, son of the late Pittman Perry Rumph and Sadie Louise Richardson Rumph. Eben was the owner of Rumph Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member of the Johns Island Southern Methodist Church and the Dungannon Hunt Club. He was an avid fisherman and loved to garden. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cindy Rumph, Emma Rumph; two brothers, Harvey Rumph, Gerald Rumph; and sister, Rita Angle.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

The family extends their deepest appreciation to all of the staff at the Brookdale Memory Care Unit, the Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital 3rd floor #2 Nurses Station, and the NHC Wando Unit for their care of Eben.
