Earl Walter (Skip) Eschbacher, Jr., of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Susan Muse Eschbacher entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 14, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, Highway 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 4:00pm.
Mr. Eschbacher was born August 31, 1939 in Washington, District of Columbia. He was a son of the late Earl Walter Eschbacher, Sr, and the late Vesta Scott Eschbacher. He was a graduate of Suitland High School and Shepherd University. He was also a United States Air Force veteran. Mr. Eschbacher retired after 29 years with the General Services Administration of the US Federal Government. Prior to retirement he was appointed to the Senior Executive Service with GSA in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the Regional Administrator for Public Buildings and real property.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Eschbacher is survived by his daughters; Kimball and her husband, Bennet Dunlap, of Philadelphia, PA,, Julie and her husband, Todd Jordan of Kingston, NY and Elizabeth and her husband Nick Boeschen, of Mount Pleasant, SC, a brother, Russell and his wife, Mimi Eschbacher of Rockville, MD, and he is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
The Eschbacher family would like to thank Dr. Stuart and staff of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center for their extraordinary and compassionate care during the last two years. Additionally they would like to thank the nurses of Odyssey Hospice for their loving support given to the family.
