Durward Walden White, (USN, Ret.)

MMCM (SS) Durward Walden White, (USN, Ret.), 73, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, SC, husband of Maria Milligan White died Wednesday, February 10, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.

Durward was born August 22, 1942 in Langdale, Alabama, son of the late William Carl White and the late Elvin Walden White. He was a retired Master Chief of the U.S. Navy of 30 years. He was also the Vice-President of Copy-Med, Inc. for 16 years. He was an active member of Christ the Redeemer Church where he served as a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Maria White formerly of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Pamela Stuhr and her husband, Timmy, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; granddaughter, Samantha Norrell; and sisters, Carol Askew and Drucilla White. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne.
