Dulcie Mae Means, 100, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Clarke E. Means, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 2, 2025. Her private entombment will be held in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. 

Dulcie was born March 23, 1925 in West Palm Beach, Florida, daughter of the late Chester W. Aud and Anna M. Poole Aud. She retired after more than thirty five years as a kindergarten teacher at Ashley River Baptist Church where she was also a long time and dedicated church member and Sunday School teacher. Dulcie was devoted to the Lord and to her husband and children. She cared for many foster babies and kept one child who was profoundly handicapped for over 10 years. She was very compassionate and sensitive to other people. 

Dulcie is survived by two sons: Edward M. Means (Mary) of New Braunfels, TX and Roderick S. Means (Debbie) of Awendaw, SC; two daughters: Rebecca S. Keith of Deltona, FL and Brenda F. Stiteler (Michael) of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren: Jonathan Means of Ypsilanti, MI and Alisha Timmons (Jamie) of Summerville, SC; and one great-granddaughter, Emelia Timmons.
