Drusilla McEachern Martin, 75, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of William Evans Martin, Jr. entered into eternal rest Monday, June 15, 2015. Her graveside service will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 in Magnolia Cemetery, 70 Cunnington Avenue at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held following the service at 13 Greenhill St. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.
Drusilla was born December 25, 1939 in Wilmington, North Carolina, daughter of the late Duncan R. McEachern, MD and the late Eloise Shepherd McEachern. She was a graduate of St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA and Sweet Briar College. Drusilla was a retired secretary at the Charleston Day School and Holcombe, Fair, and Lane. She was a former member of the Junior League of Charleston and the Women's Council of the Gibbes Museum of Art.
She is survived by her son, William E. Martin, III (Rebecca); daughter, Eloise S. Martin, both of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Louise Martin, Will Martin, Anne Adragna, Alex Adragna, and Charlotte Adragna; and her faithful employee and dearest friend, Ruth Grant.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Duncan R. McEachern, Jr. and sister-in-law, Harriet M. Wilson.
