Dr. Craig Newell Little, 66, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, husband of Tina McCuen Little entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Craig was born September 16, 1958 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, son of the late Jean Myers Little and Martha Coppedge Little of Spartanburg, SC. From a young age, Craig saw the world through the lens of biology, with an enduring curiosity about how things live, grow, and heal. This led to a distinguished career in oral surgery. However, his love of science was never confined to just medicine. Craig and Tina turned their attention to planting a vineyard and building a winery, Stone Ashe Vineyard & Winery in the mountains of North Carolina. Craig saw viticulture as the perfect blend of science, nature, and biology in motion. This opportunity to keep learning, to work with nature, and to create a legacy from the ground up is what underlined Craig’s passion and purpose. More than a new venture, the vineyard was a living reflection of his values: hard work, patience, and curiosity. It was here that he was happiest - outside and alongside his wife, his three sons, their wives, and the family dogs. This was a place he created where his love of science met his love of family, and where his legacy will continue to grow with every season.
In addition to his wife, Tina, of 14 years, he is survived by his three sons, Heath, Harrison, and Hudson, his mother, Martha, his siblings Myers, Ellen, Lynn, and Leigh, his nephews Matthew and Trey, and his niece Hayleigh.
