Dovereen S. Hudson, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late John W. Hudson, Sr., entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Her Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 in the Old St. Andrew's Parish Churchyard, 2604 Ashley River Road at 4:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Dove was born May 14, 1933 in Winnsboro, South Carolina, daughter of the late Curtis Sharpe and Nell Cooper Sharpe. Dove enjoyed a long and healthy life as an avid runner for many years. She truly enjoyed her tenure as the Bookkeeper and Admin at Centenary Methodist Church in New Bern, North Carolina. She was a voracious reader and frequented local libraries.

She is survived by her son, John W. “Skip” Hudson Jr. (Lee); daughter, Kim Shuler; sister, Jenny Walsh; nephew, Lon Walsh; and grandchild, Erin Shuler.

Memorials may be made to Old St. Andrew’s Parish Church.
