Douglas Oliver Haase, USN (Ret.)

SKCS Douglas Oliver Haase, USN (Ret.), 58, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Vickie Redfern Haase, entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 12, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.

Douglas was born January 26, 1956 in New Brunswick , New Jersey, son of the late Oliver Walter Haase and Ellen Carlsen Haase. He was a Retired Senior Chief Petty Officer with the United States Navy. He was a member of the Low Country Mustang Club of America , and the Rouch Club.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Haase of Charleston, SC; son, Joseph Black of Summerville, SC; daughter, Denise Alvarez of Summerville, SC; a brother, Craig Haase of MA; and three grandsons, Michael Alvarez, Dustin Hendricks, and Zachary Haase. Douglas is preceded in death by his son, Douglas O. Haase.
