Douglas Lynn DeLong, 64, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of M. Carolyn Moseley DeLong, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 11, 2014. Doug was born August 21, 1949 in Reading, Pennsylvania, son of Betty Louise Huntsberger DeLong and the late Jacob Leroy DeLong. He was a 1967 graduate of Hamburg High School, Hamburg, PA. Doug worked as a Passport Specialist with the Charleston Passport Center with co-workers that he considered family and a job that he dearly loved.
He is survived by his wife, M. Carolyn DeLong of Charleston, SC; his mother, Betty DeLong of Hamburg, PA; five sons, Joseph "Joe" Dettrey (Elizabeth) of Charleston, Todd DeLong (Nannette) of Lorton, VA, Dana DeLong of Harrisburg, PA, Scott Waddell of Orlando, FL, Brendon DeLong of Reading, PA; and a sister, Linda DeLong Evans (Charles) of Bernville, PA. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Tory DeLong (Amanda), Megan DeLong, Morgan DeLong, Michelle Ivy Johnson (Billy), Ryan Ivy (Allison) and Nathan Ivy; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Douglas Smith, Madelyn Ivy and Abigail Ivy.
