Douglas Eugene Cannon

Douglas Eugene Cannon, 68, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Mary Jane Hill Littell, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 7, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2810 Greenridge Road. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Chapel Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service.

Douglas was born March 9, 1946 in Georgetown, SC, son of the late Rufus Lee Cannon and Annie Hazel Brown Cannon. He was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard with the Nuclear Weapons Department. Douglas loved fishing, talking and shopping and also loved his family and his dear friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Littell of Goose Creek, SC; daughter, Melissa WendyPearl Cannon Holder of AL; son, Douglas Eugene Cannon, Jr. (Jessica) of IN; sister, Annie Pearl Cannon Kimbrell of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Lonnie Cannon of Green Pond SC; three grandsons, Douglas Eugene Cannon III, David Cannon, and Levy Holder; three granddaughters, Victoria Holder, Melinda Brewer and Brittany Holder; his favorite sister-in-law, Theresa Simms of North Charleston, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Cannon, and sister Betty Cannon Haynes.
