Douglas Buckheister

Roy Douglas Buckheister, Jr., 42, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Amy Walker Buckheister entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 17, 2018. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.

Douglas was born May 23, 1975 in Charleston, SC, son of Roy Douglas Buckheister and Cynthia Breland Buckheister. He was a retired S.C Department of Transportation Surveyor. Douglas was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved the outdoors. He spent many days in the woods and rivers of the lowcountry. But his greatest love was his wife Amy who stood by his side through all his days of pain and suffering.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Walker Buckheister; parents, Roy and Cynthia Buckheister; sister Tiffany Mikell (Fred Drulard), nephew, Holden and his dogs Lucy and Gracie.
