Dorothy Kryder Tuten, 97, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Thomas "Tommy" Lewis Tuten entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

Dorothy was born May 7, 1920 in Kendallville, Indiana, daughter of the late Aaron Augustus Kryder and the late Pearl Louvina Grove Kryder. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and attending church services on Sunday. She was a member of Cherokee Place United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Suzanne Tuten of N. Charleston, SC; three nephews: Robert Kryder (Gwen) of Colon, MI, Kenneth Kryder (Judy) of Colon, MI, and Darrell Kryder of Goshen, IN.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Kryder and his wife Dolores.
