Dorothy Southers, 91, of Harleyville, South Carolina, widow of Joseph David Southers, entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her two children Rickey Joseph Southers and Shirley Ann Lindenmeyer. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Saturday, February 1, 2025 in the Northwoods Chapel. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel. 

Dorothy was born March 1, 1933, in Gainesville, Georgia, daughter of the late Herbert Smith and the late Lilly Cochran Smith. She loved her career in customer service and spent her retirement loving her great grand babies. 

 She is survived by eight grandchildren: Gary King (Melissa King), Nichole Johnson (Nathaniel Johnson), Shonna Kostielney (Ricky Kostielney), Charles O'neal King, Christy Grimes, Ricky Joseph Southers II (Mary Southers), Meghan Ruiz-Morales, and Taz Joseph Southers, and lots of great-grands.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice in Dorothy's honor.
