Dorothy was born September 30, 1920 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of the late William G. Jolly and Eunice DeAntonio Jolly. Her childhood was one of hardship and longing to know her mother who died when she was only 2 years old. Dorothy lived her childhood in Moncks Corner and Charleston, being moved from one home to another with family members. She attended Memminger Grade School and graduated from Murray High School. After high school, Dorothy worked as a legal secretary in Charleston and after her marriage to Albert W. Seel, Sr., in 1937, as a sales secretary for Haverty Furniture Store. Dorothy was very active and a faithful Christian at St. Mark United Methodist Church during her years raising their eight children. She was a self-taught pianist, seamstress, business manager, and most importantly for her, a devoted mother and wife.

She is survived by her three sons, Ernest C (Cindy) Seel, Carl E (Jean) Seel, Mark A (Susan) Seel; her two daughters, Diann M (Murray) Wood, Debra L (Michael) Kennedy. Dorothy has 23 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren; her son-in-law, Jeff Searcy and her daughter-in-laws, Wanda Seel and June Seel.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Seel, Sr., daughter, Miriam S. Searcy, and sons; Albert W. Seel Jr., Gary H Seel.

Our mother was the matriarch of our family's company in Charleston and Mount Pleasant, SC, Seel's Outboard, Inc. Dorothy and Albert, who founded the company, were always encouraging to their children to do their best and be their best through strong faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Rest in Peace Momma and Be Filled with Joy in God's Glory in Heaven. We Love You.
