Dorothy Blitch Schroder, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late William Henry Schroder, Jr, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Her funeral service will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, at 2:00 pm .  A graveside service will follow in the Christ-St. Paul's Cemetery. There will be a reception to follow at the home of Melissa Weir. 3991 Chisolm Rd. Johns Island. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Dorothy was born September 26, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Norman  Blitch and Lenora Gatch Blitch.  She loved to putter around in her yard and truly adored her dog, Bella. Dorothy will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Schroder Weir (L. Thomas) of Johns Island, SC; her son, William Henry Schroder, III (Kelly Adams) of Summerville, SC; her grandchildren, Makenna Leigh Schroder, Jonathan Matthew Weir (Dominique), and Justin Thomas Weir (Alex Richmond); her great-grandchildren, Trinity Grace Weir and Hope Elizabeth Weir.
