Dorothy Marie Sadler, 90, wife of the late Rev. George Edward Sadler of Mt. Pleasant, SC went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 12, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 am for both Dorothy and her late husband George. Inurnment for both will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
Dorothy was born on September 11, 1921 in Nutley, New Jersey, daughter of the late Rueben Vreeland and Adrienne Holestelle Vreeland. Dorothy suffered for many years with Alzheimer's disease and was under the care of Hospice of Charleston when she died. She and her husband George served together in Gospel ministry for over 35 years, serving in 4 churches.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Long of Dover, PA and Bette Rials of Mt. Pleasant, SC; six grandchildren, Jennifer Sutler, Adrienne Crone, Faith Long, Andrew Long, Jonathan Rials and Paul Rials; seven great grandchildren, Will and Lucy Sutler, Brady and Kaden Crone, Kolby Long, Trevor and Luke Rials. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Rev. George Sadler and two grandchildren, George and David.
