Dorothy Craft Nelson, 94, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Donald T. Nelson died Monday, December 5, 2016. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Rolla, Missouri. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Dorothy was born August 4, 1922 in Paris, Missouri, daughter of the late Clifton Craft and the late Ada McGinnis Craft. She traveled extensively with her husband through out his career in the United States Geological Survey. Dorothy and her husband then settled in Rolla, Missouri. Dorothy ultimately relocated to Mount Pleasant to be near her family.
She is survived by son, David Nelson and his wife, Lori, of Isle Of Palms, SC; granddaughter, Lesley Nelson of Greenville, SC; two half brothers, Jack Snyder of Philadelphia, PA and Ted Snyder of Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter, 2090 Executive Hall Road, Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29407.
