Dorothy Gladys Haley Lott, 89, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Jesse Cecil Lott died Sunday, April 2, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to service in the Downtown Chapel.
Gladys was born May 14, 1927 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Harry Anderson Haley and Mary Hodge Haley. She was a member of Johns Island Southern Methodist Church and a previous member of the Salvation Army. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, she loved to help others, she loved her family and friends, and she loved animals.
Gladys is survived by her granddaughter, Jasmine Lott Hagan of Fort White, FL; two great-granddaughters: Jiselle Dorothy Hagan of Fort White, FL and Joy Careyteen Hagan of Fort White, FL; brother, Clarence Haley; sister, JoAnne Pennington; and two daughters-in-law: Mary Wilcoxon Lott of Charleston, SC and Cathy Klemm Lott of Charleston, SC.
Gladys was preceded in death by her three sons: Jesse Cecil Lott, Jr., Thomas Anderson Lott, and Richard Edward Lott; and her husband, Jesse Cecil Lott, Sr.
