Dorothy Jean Vittitoe Johnson

Dorothy Jean Vittitoe Johnson, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of James S. Johnson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in James Island Presbyterian Church, 1632 Fort Johnson Road at 12:00 p.m.  Interment to follow in churchyard. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Dorothy was born March 1, 1932 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Rollie Vittitoe and Ruth Phillips Vittitoe. She was a retired Manager for Sears.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Johnson Yianopoulos of Charleston, SC; three sons: Michael Yianopoulos (Cindy) of Goose Creek, SC, James Yianopoulos (Maria) of Asheville, NC and Mark Yianopoulos (Rhonda) of Summerville, SC; eight grandchildren: Amy Gesell (Tommy), Cody Fritz (Erin), Sarah Fritz, Laura Blackwell, Caroline Sammons (Barrett), Laurie Kniffin, Elena Christensen (Rigil), Nick Yianopoulos and Zoe Yianopoulos; 11 great-grandchildren: James, Michael, David, Lily, Stella, Jonah, Hadleigh, Luna, Charleigh, Jameson and Aleigha. She was predeceased by two grandsons: James Fritz and Pete Yianopoulos.
