Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 20, 2012, Dorothy Hiott Jarriel, of Charleston, SC and widow of Ray Jarriel. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday, June 22, 2012 at 12 Noon in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Committal service will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Friday from 10:00 am and 12 Noon.

Born October 14, 1924 in Cameron, South Carolina, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Harmon and Olivia Pooser Hiott. She worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company where she met her husband Ray of 55 years. Dorothy lived a private life but the love for her family was always never ending.

Surviving family members include a daughter-in-law, Annette Jarriel wife of the late son Ronald W. Jarriel of Maryland, son, Roy B. Jarriel and wife Dianna of North Augusta, SC; a daughter, Linda Jarriel of Charleston; a sister, Clemmie Webster of Barnwell, SC; five grandchildren, Kacie Handley (Matthew) of West Virginia, Ryan Jarriel of Charleston, Courtney Jarriel, Matthew Jarriel and Ashley Jarriel all of North Augusta, SC; and three great grandchildren, Madyson Handley, Eryn Handley and Camdyn Handley all of West Virginia.
