Dorothy Louise Hunt Hill

Dorothy Louise Hunt Hill, 89, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Al Leonard Hill entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 13, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:30 pm.  Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  

Dorothy was born July 20, 1933 in Sylacauga, AL daughter of the late Andrew "Buster" Hunt and the late Ruby Riley Hunt. She loved her church, Cooper River Baptist Church, singing in the choir and she was a Sunday School Teacher.  She played piano, taught music education and was a teacher at Charleston County Schools.  She loved her family, supporting her grandchildren and loved all babies and dogs.

She is survived by her two children, Allison Hill Cook (Gary Poole) of Greer, SC and Leonard Glenn Hill (Kelly) of Mount Pleasant, SC; six grandchildren: Lauren Patrice Cook, Marcus Andrew Cook (Samantha), Curry Cook Thomas (Charles), Oliver Glenn Hill, Samuel Al Hill and William Poston Hill, great-grandchildren: Emery Drew Cook and Scurry Gray Cook; sister, Frances Hunt Bath (Jimmy) of Goose Creek, SC; nieces: Rhonda Bath, Laurie Bath Swack (Chris), great-nephew, Jay Horlocker.
