Dorothy Sybil Strickland Gray

Entered into eternal rest the morning of Wednesday, November 10, 2010, Dorothy Sybil Strickland Gray, widow of George Gray.  Residence, Ravenel, South Carolina.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside funeral service Saturday, November 13, 2010 at one o'clock at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Solaris Hospice, 2900 Main Street, Suite E, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.

Born November 24, 1921 in Newnan, Georgia, Dorothy was the daughter of Henry Grady Strickland and Ruth Platt Strickland. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Meggett.  Dorothy will be missed by her family and many friends.

Survivors include a son: Jimmy Gray of Ravenel; a daughter: Barbara Norcross of the Panama Canal Zone; brothers: Ben Strickland and Weldon Strickland, both of Newnan, Georgia; a sister: Martha Sue Byrd of Douglasville, Georgia and four grandchildren.
