Dorothy Poston Evans

Dorothy P. Evans, 88, of Goose Creek, SC, died Monday, November 14, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the Ridge Baptist Church, 2168 Ridge Church Road at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Dorothy was born September 29, 1928 in Hyman, SC, daughter of the late Paul DeLeon Poston and the late Angie Campbell Poston. She was a homemaker and a member of Ridge Baptist Church for more than 15 years.

She is survived by son, Dannie M. Evans (Sherry) of Summerville, SC; three daughters: Dorothy Elona Campbell (Larry) of Jacksonville, FL, Angela E. Fiedler (Bob) of Elizabeth City, NC and Evonne E. Copeland (Greg) of Bonneau, SC; special family, Leila O'Neal (Danny) of Summerville, SC and Lynn Leedy (Tommy) of Ridgeville, SC; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Lorie DeLeon Poston of Glassport, PA and a sister, Evelyn P. Coward of Effingham, SC; also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Monwell Evans; a brother, Francis Legette Poston; sister-in-law, Mary Poston; brother-in-law, Joel Coward and son-in-law, Greg Copeland.
