Dorothy "Dottie" Parnell Burkhardt

Dorothy "Dottie" P. Burkhardt, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 19, 2023. Her Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 in J. Henry Stuhr West Ashley Chapel. 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy at 1:00 pm, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A  private burial will be held later in Bethany Cemetery,10 Cunnington Ave. Charleston, SC.

Dottie was born April 20, 1938 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lester Parnell and Lucille Millar Parnell. She graduated from Murray High School and was a retired manager for a bowling center. 

She is survived by her daughter, Traci B. Jones (Preston) of Charleston, SC; sister, Betty P. Cosby; five grandchildren, Ashley Rosensteel (Christopher), Amanda Donohue, Eddie  Donohue, Laurin Jones, Lynsie Jones; and three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughters, Cheryl B. Woods of Summerville, SC, Terri B. Ann Ostrom of Summerville, SC; son, Ned Burkhardt.
