Dorothy Lamb Dixon

Dorothy Lamb Dixon, 79, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 26, 2014. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Funeral and burial will be private.

Dorothy was born July 2, 1934 in Portal, Georgia, daughter of the late Walter R. Lamb and Estelle Sparks Lamb. She was a loving Mother, Nana and a caring and devoted homemaker. She is survived by her five daughters, Belinda and Harry Buckheister of Charleston, SC, Darlene and Randy McKendree of Panama City Beach, FL, Kimberly Callahan of Charleston, SC, Theresa and Bill Moody of Charleston, SC, and Melissa Dixon of Easley, SC; a son, Ted and Cindy Dixon of Ravenel, SC; nine grandchildren, Amy Buckheister Peak, Leah Buckheister Bland, Chad and Kyle McKendree, Allen and Carson Moody, Stephen, Andy and Kelsey Dixon; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of NHC and to Dr. Austin Ball for all of the wonderful care.
