Dorothy Williams DeTorre

Dorothy Williams DeTorre, 92, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late John DeTorre passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Her Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.

Dorothy was born August 1, 1921 in Wilmerding, PA, daughter of the late John Evan Williams and Rebecca Harvey Williams. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Albemarle, NC.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. James Bowman Williams DeTorre and his wife, Susan of Johns Island, SC and William David DeTorre and Julie of Hilton Head Island, SC; her granddaughter, Rebecca DeTorre Grubb and her husband, Dennis of Lansdale, PA; her two grandsons, David Bru DeTorre of Raleigh, NC and William David DeTorre, Jr. of Columbia, SC; her great-grandson, Miles Allen Grubb of Lansdale, PA; and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Bowman Williams of Dallas, TX.
