Dorothy West Odom Daniels

Dorothy West Odom Daniels, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Alvin E. Daniels entered into eternal rest Monday, August 6, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the graveside in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Dot was born October 22, 1927 in Harleyville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Calhoun West and Inez Knight West. She was a retired Southern Bell employee with the Planning & Engineering department. Dot was a member of the Bell Pioneers, Meals on Wheels and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin E. Daniels of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Judith Ann Odom Pack (John) of Charleston, SC, Susan Elizabeth Odom of Mount Pleasant, SC; granddaughter, Julie Ann Barrineau (Ricky) of Charleston, SC; two great-grandchildren, Dakota Barrineau, and Tyler Barrineau. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Calhoun West Jr., George West and sister Agnes Marie West Cantley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 www.stjude.org/donate, and/or the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC, 29406.
