Dorothy Brown Crapse

Dorothy Brown Crapse, 98, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 pm, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy, know to most as Miss Dot, was born May 31, 1924 in Mullins, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert Luther Brown and Fleetwood Webster Brown. Dot was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Director, Sunday School Teacher, and GA leader. Dot was also a member of the Memminger Hall Garden Club.

She is survived by her son, Marion "Amos" Crapse (Karen); daughter, Lois Bohlen; grandchildren, Philip Stone (Anna), Joshua Bohlen, Mark Bohlen (Kati), and Kenny Crapse (Alex); great grandchildren, Jayce, Edward, and William; and sister-in-law, Lillian Crapse Thomas.
