Doris Lucille Youngblood

June 19, 1922 — September 8, 2010

Doris Lucille Godfrey Youngblood, 88, wife of the late William Samuel Youngblood, Jr, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. All services will be private.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mrs. Youngblood was born June 19, 1922 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Homer Mann Godfrey and Lucille Knight Godfrey. She graduated from Rice Business College and was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family and friends.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Browne and her husband, John, of Sullivan's Island, SC; two grandchildren, Melanie Browning (Neill) of Isle of Palms, SC and James M. Rosenthal (Cindi) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Three great grandchildren, Jamie, Cameron and Caroline; four sisters, Frances G. Myers, Marion G. Hutchinson, Carolyn G. Farris and Jean Godfrey. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorials be made to the Low Country Chapter of the American Ex-Prisoners of War, 200 Carolina Avenue, St. George, SC  29477.
