Doris Edmondson Yeo-Doran, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 24, 2026.

Doris was born February 26, 1936 in Adams Run, South Carolina, daughter of the late Joseph Andrew Edmondson and the late Octavia Ulmer Edmondson. She was proudly raised in Adams Run, South Carolina, graduated from St. Paul's High School, Yonges Island, Class of 1954 where she was a cheerleader. The youngest of 11 children, she grew up loving the coastal areas and especially Edisto & Folly Beach. They remained a favorite place of hers to visit throughout her lifetime. She was youngest of 2 sets of twins born 17 months apart.

She first married James "Jim" Eckels Yeo Sr.,in 1955 the father of her five children, and their life together took them to Savannah, GA where along with raising a family, she worked in finance with a credit union. They then moved to Washington, DC and Woodbridge, VA where she enjoyed baby sitting and began her career with Giant Food. She was selected as the Top Cashier in her District an award she cherished. She loved her career at Giant where she worked in general merchandise and later as a cashier for a total of almost 25 years until her retirement in 1996.

Doris was an outgoing person who loved to travel. She made numerous trips to Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach while living in Virginia. She was politically active and volunteered regularly at the polls. Doris loved dancing and won several dance contests. She enjoyed music, singing, playing bridge & pinochle, playing the organ, reading, sewing, making drapes and clothing.

She always wanted to be a nurse and this is evident in the personal ways in which she cared for others. Doris was a strong and determined person. She was both a breast and colon cancer survivor and endured Dementia and Alzheimer's later in life with dignity. Her Faith in God and Jesus Christ kept her strong throughout. Doris returned to Charleston in 2022 to be closer to her Sisters.

She is survived by all her children: Sheryl Katona (Randy) of Spotsylvania, VA, Kimberly Ramos (David) of Stafford, VA, James Yeo of Honaker, VA, Clinton Yeo (Kimberly) of Cape Coral, FL and Andrew Yeo of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Julie Ehlers (Shawn) and Ransom Yeo; Great-Grandchildren: Christian, Matthew, Avery, Chelsea, Ava Lynn, Levi, Elijah and Elizabeth; Great Grand-Child, Legacy. Survivors also include her twin sister and Womb mate for 9 months Dorothy "Dot" Campbell of Charleston SC and the second set of twin sisters, Joyce Southwell of Charleston and Jean Rotolo of Lakeland Fl. along with many nieces and nephews, Tina (Jim), Butch (Sabre), Mike & Mikey, Chuck (Linda), Jimmy (Lynn), Ann, Barbara and many more along with her Beloved Chow Chow Bella.

In addition to her parents and husbands Jim Yeo and Jack Doran, she was preceded in death by her siblings James, Barbara, Elizabeth (Sis) Edgar, Earl, Legrand, Raymond. Her companion Kenneth "Ken" Fee and family Ruby, Francesca & Roger, Her Sweet Girl Adrian, Cole and Skylar; her Poodles Muffin and Pierre; her Chow Chows Kempo & Sasha along with her cat, Patches.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
