Doris Elizabeth Ward Woody, 65, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Harold Thomas Woody died Monday, October 19, 2015.
Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the J. HENRY STUHR INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 10:00 a.m.
Doris was born November 22, 1949 in Grand Junction, Tennessee, daughter of the late Eber Ennis Ward, Jr. and Margaret Blackmon Ward. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, Eber Ennis Ward, Sr. and Alice Knapp Ward in Florence, SC. She graduated from McClenaghan High School in Florence and attended Vardell Junior College in Red Springs, NC. In 1977 she graduated from Florence General Hospital School of Practical Nursing.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, Harold, she is survived by her son, James Ennis Woody; and her sister, Alice Ward Roberts, all of Mt. Pleasant.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, N. Charleston, SC 29406.
