Doris was born February 6, 1949 in Washington, District of Columbia, daughter of Eugenia Jordan Suggs and the late William J. Suggs. She was a member of Seacoast Christian Community Church. She was a lover of life, the beauty of all God's creation and a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior. She was an amazing mother and friend inspiring all those who met her. For 15 years, she loved her job and the many friends she made at Stella Nova Salon leaving a lasting impression as one who truly cared about others. She entertained with grace and style, loved beach music and shag dancing. Always positive, she never complained, even in the dark hours of her hard fought battle with breast cancer. Doris fought the good fight (her way), finished the race and is now with Jesus and loved ones in heaven. To God Be The Glory.
Doris is survived by three daughters: Elizabeth Walker Hall (Ron) of Dallas, TX, Spring Walker of Sunset Beach, NC, Ashley Jeffcoat (Jeff) of Fort Mill, SC; mother, Eugenia Jordan Suggs of Hanahan, SC; sister, Deborah Wilkins (Rick) of Goose Creek, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Walker, Jr.; her father, William J. Suggs and sister, Judith Suggs Brooks.
Memorials may be made to Seacoast Christian Community Church, 750 Long Point Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
