Doris Jenkins Towery

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 25, 2012, Doris Jenkins Towery, resident of Charleston, SC, and wife of the late James E. Towery. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Saturday, June 30, 2012 at St. Andrew's Parish United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Committal services will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Born on April 16, 1932 in High Point, North Carolina, Doris is the daughter of Mary Lizzie Jenkins. She worked with Sears Department Store Human Resources Office and was a member of St. Andrew's Parish United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her two sons, James Michael Towery of Charleston and Gregory Lee Towery and wife Wanda of Richmond, VA; two sisters, Marie Holcomb of Chesapeake, VA and Joanne Nesselrodt of Hanover, VA; two grandchildren, Summer Towery and Brittney Zinno; and a great grandson, Ryder Towery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Parish United Methodist Church, 3225 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
