Doris Ann Snider, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Folly Beach, South Carolina and widow of Captain Dean Freeman Snider entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 20, 2013.
Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR INC, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street at 1:00 p.m. Interment following, will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Doris was born August 28, 1928 in Round O, South Carolina, the daughter of Ashley Fritz Crosby and Callie Mae Robertson. For over 33 years she was the owner of the Village Tackle Shop, Folly Beach, South Carolina and was active in Folly Beach business development. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons and their wive, Richard D. and Pamela J. Snider of Charleston, South Carolina and George E. and Linda Snider of Reno, Nevada; sister, Mildred Brown of Charleston, South Carolina; two sister-in-laws, Allene Crosby and Margaret Crosby, also of Charleston, South Carolina.
Doris was preceded in death by her two brothers, George S. Crosby and Horace Crosby. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Josh Snider and Nicole Snider of Charleston, South Carolina and Staci Snider and Amy Snider of New York; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Connor, Kaleb and Evan of Charleston, South Carolina.
