Born on January 12, 1924, in a small town in Missouri, Doris later married and supported her husband, Raymond Ray Seabaugh, Commander US Navy (Ret) during his career as a naval officer. She was always very proud of his service to his country that included World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Doris volunteered tirelessly as part of the Naval Hospital Auxiliary, "The Gray Ladies," and the Naval Officers Wives Club. She always adjusted to new places and became active in church and community endeavors as the family traveled from coast to coast and the Caribbean.
Another source of pride was her children receiving an education and selecting careers that serve the public good as Army officer, nurse, and teacher. Later in life, she was able to persevere with dignity through an extended illness without complaint. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of East Cooper Medical Center for their care and support.
Doris is survived by her husband of 65 years, Raymond Ray Seabaugh; a son, Colonel Karl Ray Seabaugh, US Army (Ret) and his wife, Pa; two daughters, Quana (Mrs. William Calloway Strong, Jr.) and her husband, Bill, and Lara (Mrs. J.
